What is Visual Basic?

Visual Basic is a visual programming language, also called the 4th generation language. This means that a large number of tasks performed without writing code, by simply operations performed with the mouse on the screen.
What's the point?
Visual Basic is aimed at the implementation of programs for Windows, and can incorporate all the elements of this environment: windows, buttons, dialog boxes and text, radio buttons and selection, scroll bars, graphics, menus, etc.. Virtually all elements of user interaction in Windows 95/98/NT which can be programmed in Visual Basic in a way very easy. Sometimes a few are enough operations with the mouse and keyboard through the introduction of some sentences to provide applications with all the features of Windows 95/98/NT
